Is there a map showing where in Clinton crews are currently working? Or something that tracks progress by location? Kind of like the outage map?

We currently have crews working in Kentucky. We project we will have some customers installed before the end of the year. Currently, we are unable to give you an accurate time frame for your specific location. We are working as fast as possible to provide our KY members with fiber internet. Mr. Dennis, We are currently evaluating the poles near your house for proper clearance. If our fiber crews have proper clearance, then we could have your location ready for installation by the end of next week. If it is determined that we will need to change out the pole to obtain proper clearance, then it would be pushed out a couple of weeks. Either way, we hope to have you hooked up soon. Any ETAs on 4860 Claude Tucker Road in Union City? Contractors have been out and the fiber has been run to the house and the box installed. Do you have confirmed light signals as yet? It's been over a week to 2 weeks since the box was installed. We're tired of Ken-Tenn and are anxiously awaiting speeds faster than dialup! lol

Hey, Jason. We have crews actively working throughout the South Fulton zone on several different steps. I can see that your service drop has been placed, but the fiber has not yet been spliced. There is a crew that will place the NID on the home before the fiber is spliced to stay ahead and make it easier once the splicers get there. We are still on track to have the majority of the area completed by late summer, so it should not be much longer before your location is ready. As soon as the fiber has been spliced and we have a light reading for your location, we will call to schedule your installation. Thank you for your support of Gibson Connect!

We have largely finished the Bells zone, so depending on whether your service is overhead or underground, it could be about four weeks or so before you're ready to be connected. Hi, Jared. I see that your service drop has been placed, but we are not yet showing the fiber has been spliced. It's possible with your neighbor being ready for connection that contractors have completed the splicing, and we do not show the light reading yet. It can take a couple of days once it is spliced to come to us and get loaded in for installation. As soon as we receive word that your location has light, we will call you to schedule the in-home installation. We appreciate your support of Gibson Connect and look forward to serving you!

It can take 2-4 weeks for underground placements and connections to be ready in zones that we have already moved out of. Hi, Marsha. I do see that your service drop has been placed, but the fiber has not yet been spliced. We have crews that are going ahead and placing the NIDs (small gray box) on the sides of homes, and this helps speed up the process once the contractors arrive to splice the fiber at the home. We are splicing throughout the zone, but there are still some splicing crews working to finish up the remainder of the Troy zone. Once they have completed, they will all be focused in the South Fulton zone. We appreciate your support of Gibson Connect and look forward to serving you!

There has been nothing marked in our yard, except the city marking the water line. The contractor is here and is expecting the homeowners to know where the lines are located at and just cut our Spectrum internet cable. So now we have no internet until Spectrum can get out here on July 6th. Ironic, huh? Why in the world would ya’ll allow digging to be done without calling TN One Call so they can mark the lines? This is so dangerous and not a good way to start a business relationship.

Hi, Melissa. We always use TN One Call and do not dig without allowing all utilities the appropriate time to locate. They have a set number of days to perform the locates, and after that time has elapsed, we have the ability to proceed whether they have marked a line or not. Unfortunately, Spectrum often refuses to locate their facilities and, therefore, our contractor does not know they are there. We have encouraged Spectrum multiple times to change their process and consistently locate, but to date they have not changed. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We look forward to serving you!

Hi, Melissa. I have taken a look at the whole street, and we have not actually gotten any service drops completed on this road. The locates have been called in to mark any other underground lines, and the orders have been given out to the crews, but none of them are in and ready to be spliced. We have crews working all throughout the zone on service drops and splicing, so it should not be long before those are in and completed. We are still estimating the majority of the zone to be finished by late summer. We appreciate your continued support of Gibson Connect and look forward to serving you!

Hi, Candace. As soon as our team has received a light reading for your location, they will be calling you to schedule the installation. Sometimes the box is on the house before the fiber is spliced, so it could still be a little bit before it is ready for connection. I do see that your service drop has been placed, but the fiber still needing to be spliced. Once this has been completed, we will be giving you a call. There is no light that you will be able to see on the box; it has to be given to us by the crews that splice the fiber. Thank you for your patience as we work to get you connected!

We are very excited that we have been awarded this grant funding, but as of now, we do not have specific dates for individual zones. Now that the grant has been awarded from KY, how long before the additional buildout and installations of residential service in the Hickman Zone. I am on KY 1128, and have been looking at doing some swapping on satellite options. but I do not want to sign a new contract if Gibson will be available within a year or less.

We have a little over 400 locations to complete in the zone, but as of now, anticipate the area to be largely finished by late August or early fall. Hi, David. We do have extenders you can rent monthly, however, I would recommend you speaking to one of our Network Technicians to see if that would even be feasible for your question. Depending on several factors, including distance, it may not work to have an extender. I can have one of them reach out to you if you would let me know your best contact number, and we will figure out the best route to help you move forward!
