Hi, James. The ONT will support four Ethernet ports.

Jeff, the Quanta trucks are in fact Gibson Connect contractors. They are already working hard to help us provide this service to you.

How many ethernet ports will the ONT support?

Seen some activity today around Medina near Mt Zion road. Utility trucks with Quanta on the sides looked like they were running cable from pole to pole. Just wondering if these are the contractors working for Gibson Connect? Starting to get excited over here on Esquire Peek road.

Will your gigabit service be symmetrical with both uploads and downloads at gigabit rates?

Hi, Wayne. You were in the system. You registered on October 30 for 100 Mbps which has now changed to 250 Mbps for the same low price! During the registration process you are given the option of being anonymous. I have unchecked that for you so you now can see yourself under the supporters. Have a great day!

When I search the list of registered names, my name is not listed. I registered several months ago (not long after registration was opened).

Jeffrey, you will not need to buy any additional equipment to give you Wi-Fi capabilities. We will be using an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) that will provide Wi-Fi for the home.

I was wondering about modems. Is this something you will provide or do we provide it.

We have noticed that WK&T with arrow and ok have been painted on our road out here in McConnell area on Roy Vowell and Old Sawmill. Are we getting wire run soon?

Jeff, our contractor has been hired, and make-ready work has begun in Three Way. You may have already seen some of our Gibson EMC crews changing and readying poles for fiber. Construction on Phase I will begin next Monday, July 16. We expect that we will be well underway with the construction of the Three Way zone by the end of the summer. We will begin at the substation and work our way out, hooking members up as we pass by. We are very excited that high-speed, fiber-based internet will soon be a reality for many of our members, and we appreciate your support.

Do we have timelines that are more accurate for each phase? Was glancing through the other comments but didn't see dates. I am in the three way zone. I got a letter in the mail last week stating a service drop will be done at our home as they pass by, and then will schedule the install. Hoping since I got this, we may be getting close to the reality of getting this service. Thanks ahead of time for any information you can provide.

Good afternoon, Jeff. We unfortunately experienced a delay, but the good news is that our contract with the construction contractors has been finalized. Their equipment is currently en route to Medina, and we are now scheduled for construction to begin on Monday, July 16. Work by Gibson EMC crews to prepare the pole route has already begun, and needed work at the substation is underway as well. The process will require a combination of the Gibson EMC employees, Gibson Connect employees and the contractor crews. Contractors will install the main line, and Gibson EMC and Gibson Connect personnel will provide the in-home installation work and services. We appreciate your patience and understanding and are looking forward to providing you with high-speed, fiber-based internet.

Hi, Adam. I have upgraded you to 1 Gig! We currently have a strategy in place that includes a variety of marketing vehicles. Also, we will begin construction of Phase I on July 16, and hopefully participation will rise in anticipation of Phase II. Thank you for your interest, and have a good weekend.

Just wondering now that have moved into July if the contractors have started work in the Medina Zone at this time? Will contractors be running all the cable from pole to pole and doing the home connections or will it be a combination of contractors and GEMC crews working together ? When should we expect to see the first connections being made?

I have the residential 100 M service. Can I upgrade to the 1 Gig? Also do you intend to try and reach out in more ways? Troy seems to have come to a halt.

I was signed up for the 100 mbps but wanted to upgrade to 1gbps. I cancelled my order thinking I would get refunded and I could select the 1 gbps. Can you help with this?

I'm very excited about this new service! I just purchased at home, and was very disappointed that I only had one option available for internet service. I do have a suggestion for you. Cedar Grove is relatively close to Medina and they have no good providers! And, what is offered is extremely expensive. It's been almost impossible to get cable, or reliable internet service in that area for years! You should consider branching out to the Lavinia and Cedar Grove area. There would be a lot of people interested! And, they'd be extremely happy to get it! Sherry
